At Savi Networks, Neil is responsible for implementing the overall business strategy of the company.

Neil brings to Savi Networks nearly two decades of experience in finance and general management, public markets, mergers and acquisitions gained in manufacturing, distribution and technology-related industries.

Prior to joining Savi Networks, he held a series of senior management positions with Hutchison Whampoa, based in Hong Kong; and, the Unipart Group of Companies and David S Smith Plc, both based in the United Kingdom.  Smith spent the first five years of his career at KPMG and is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Leicester University.

Nick Cova

Nick-Anderson
VP, Commercial Operations & SaviTrak™

At Savi Networks, Nick manages Commercial Operations (customer facing operations and marketing) and SaviTrak™.  In this role, Nick is responsible for determining what customers want to buy, building and evolving the solution (SaviTrak™), servicing customers, and ensuring customers realize value.

Prior to joining Savi Networks, he served as VP of Products and Marketing at Global Factory, Inc., a supply chain software vendor addressing distributed quality management.  In this role Nick led the Marketing and Product Management teams.  The software allowed companies such as HP, Cypress Semiconductor, Amkor, Bell South and others to effectively manage quality in the increasingly complex, outsourced world of high-tech manufacturing.

Prior to Global Factory, Nick was Director of Strategy at Verticalnet, Inc., where he was responsible for corporate and product strategy, relationships and transactions (M&A), and marketing.  During Nick’s tenure, Verticalnet closed a deal with Microsoft (Microsoft’s largest investment ever in a software company), was recognized by AMR Research as having the #1 software suite in its category, and listed in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant.

Nick began his career as an engineer and later moved to Accenture where he managed the development of custom supply chain applications for Fortune 50 companies.  Nick holds patents related to various complex processes and systems. He graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business with an MBA.

CK Lim

SVP, Asia-Pac

At Savi Networks, CK is responsible for leading Savi Networks’ business and operations in the Asia Pacific region.

Prior to joining Savi Networks, CK was a co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of AceFusion where he played a key role charting the company’s business direction as well as product design and development since its inception in July 1998.  Mr. Lim was responsible for sealing some of AceFusion’s regional contracts and agreements, including Kerry Logistics (Hong Kong) Limited, PSA Corporation Limited, Gateway Distriparks Limited, and Morrison Express Corporation.

CK was also a Director at UnicornSys Software where he was responsible for their Asia Pacific business with key customers like General Motors, ESAB and Lucent Technologies.  Prior to that, he was a Division Services Manager of Emery Worldwide, where he was engaged in sales, marketing and business development for the South Asia Logistics operations.  He began his career with Emery Worldwide as the Asia Pacific MIS Manager where he oversaw all of Emery’s IT and software development in the region including the establishment of Emery’s Internet infrastructures.  CK started his IT career as an Analyst Programmer with Trident InfoTech, a fully owned subsidiary of Neptune Orient Line.  He holds a Masters of Science with honors in Computer Science from the University of Essex, United Kingdom.

Neil Furukawa

SVP, Engineering and Operations

At Savi Networks, Neil is responsible for all aspects of engineering, technology development, program execution and operations.

Prior to joining Savi Networks Neil served as Director, Access Programs for the Intelligence Systems Line of Business at Lockheed Martin.  In that capacity, he managed a portfolio of programs with operational responsibility and grew the annual revenues of the business from $2M to over $125M within four years.  Neil has more than 20 years of experience in the defense and commercial sectors and held a variety of positions in senior engineering management, network systems engineering, information assurance, research and development and strategic business planning.

Prior to Lockheed Martin, Neil worked at a number of telecommunication related companies including GTE where he holds a patent in the field of Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Loop (VDSL) technology.  In addition, he was also a co-founder and VP of Engineering for ActiveLink Technologies, a startup company in the VDSL market, as well as a member of the founding team for Verifone, Inc.

Neil has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hawaii and completed the Executive Management program at the University of Maryland.

Steve Sewell

SVP, Business Development

At Savi Networks, Steve is responsible for developing Savi Networks’ relationships with global: partners, logistics service providers, government agencies, regulatory bodies, industry associations, and customs authorities.

Prior to joining Savi Networks, Steve was President of PB Ports and Marine, a subsidiary of Parsons Brinckerhoff, responsible for management and performance of the business unit as well as business development and port sector leadership globally.  He was successful at spearheading increased revenue for the organization by 20% it its first year.  Steve has also held the position of Managing Director of the Seaport Division for the Port of Seattle responsible for marketing, development and operations of all Seaport facilities, including container terminals, general cargo terminals, cruise ship terminals, recreational and fishing marinas, warehousing and distribution facilities and other real estate.

Previous to these positions, he served several senior executive roles, as well as legal positions, for both the Port of Seattle and other public sector organizations.  He held the role of Corporate Secretary and General Counsel for the Port of Seattle, improving government and public relations through a comprehensive government relations and communications plan, development of in-house staff and retained lobbyists, and also oversaw the successful $150 million redevelopment of Seattle’s Central Waterfront.

Steve earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington, his Juris Doctorate from Willamette University, as well as attending Executive Development Programs at the Wharton School and the Center for Creative Leadership.

Steve served as a member of Washington State China Relations Council on the Board and Executive Committee; the SEAFAIR board as Chair-elect and on the Executive Committee; the American Association of Port Authorities on the Board, Executive Committee and Chair-Elect; the Seattle Emergency Housing Service on the Board and Development Committee; and on the Office of Port Jobs as a Founding Board Member.
